Senior Engineering Position
Description
RTCS, LLC is looking for a qualified professional senior engineer
and subject matter expert with a passion for leading teams in
advanced system development and technology maturation.
Responsibilities include organizing and leading system engineering
design teams and working with customers, partners, and internal
team members to develop and mature novel technology for transition
to operational systems. Specifically, these responsibilities
include participating in strategic planning for current and future
development opportunities, organizing and leading technical teams
performing Science and Technology (S&T) engineering activities
addressing modeling and simulation, ground test and evaluation,
prototype component and system manufacturing, system integration
and flight test and evaluation of advanced technologies. The Senior
Engineer/Subject Matter Expert will develop and execute technical
programs and provide leadership and mentorship to team members
establishing a strong foundation for engineering design and career development.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 15+ years’ experience in equal or related engineering field
- Experience leading engineering development teams
- Demonstrated experience developing prototype technology
- Leadership skills with commitment to team collaboration and mentorship
- Demonstrated ability to interface with customers and support business development
- Demonstrated experience in engineering disciplines and analysis tools addressing the following:
Aerodynamics, Aerothermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Material Science, Structural Design,
Ground Test and Evaluation, Flight Test and Evaluation, Advanced Manufacturing Technology
- Active U.S. Secret clearance or higher
- Ability to travel to support customer objectives
Desired Qualifications
- PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics tools
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools
- Trajectory Simulation
- Experience with Navigation, Guidance, and Control Systems
RTCS, LLC is a small business founded in 2021 supporting Government and commercial development activities
in prototype system design, ground test and evaluation, manufacturing and assembly, and flight test
demonstration. These activities include the identification and maturation of hypersonic technologies
such as thermal protection systems, seekers, propulsion systems, ground support equipment, mitigation of
environmental extremes, and instrumentation. RTCS, LLC conducts system development from concept to
flight test demonstration integrating modeling and simulation and test and evaluation to support
development of system engineering solutions. We are dedicated to Establishing the Nation’s Next

Advanced Technology.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Citizenship: US Citizenship is required
