    RTCS, LLC is looking for qualified engineers with a passion for pursuing a challenging career in Hypersonic Flight Test and Evaluation to develop and mature advanced technology. Responsibilities include working with the hypersonics community and system engineering teams to develop and mature advanced technology for transition to operational systems. As a Flight Test Engineer, duties will include supporting requirements definition, experiment selection, test planning and coordination, test execution, posttest data analysis, and data distribution. The position includes providing technical and engineering support and coordination to the Navy, Army, Air Force, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Program Offices involved in hypersonic technology maturation and flight testing. Candidates will work under the mentorship of Senior team members providing a strong foundation and career development for advanced technology development through flight test and evaluation.

Description

Work with Systems Requirements Engineers to evaluate payloads and experiments and conduct analysis and simulation to determine data requirements can be met thru selected flight test platforms
Coordinate flight test capabilities and flight test manifests with experimenters and Government stakeholders
Develop and document flight test requirements, flight test concept of operations (CONOPS), and test objectives
Participate in the Mission Execution Team (MET) providing event coordination and execution support ensuring test planning and data generation are sufficient to achieve test requirements and objectives
Conduct technical reviews, participate in flight test mission planning meetings and working groups, generate test requirements products, and required mission execution documentation
Interface and coordinate with test event stakeholders to ensure Test Objectives are technically sound and collect, track, and close action items as needed
Assist in the development of executive level briefings, papers, and other correspondence
Support scheduled and impromptu status and communication briefs with various levels of senior leadership
Use digital engineering tools (i.e. Doors, Windchill, Qlik) to communicate technical information
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Understanding of general engineering principals in: Flight dynamics, Launch systems/logistics, Missile system components, Missile/aircraft avionics, Program Management/MS Project or equivalent
Committed to collaboration and team culture
Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance
Ability to travel to support customer objectives
Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (STEM Field) and 9+ years of relevant experience or Masters Degree (STEM Field) and 7+ years of relevant experience
HAZFAM/HAZCOM Training
Experience in full scale and/or sounding rocket flight testing
Proficient in MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Demonstrated written and oral communication proficiency
Active U.S. Secret Clearance
Knowledge and experience working with digital engineering tools (i.e. Doors, Windchill) to communicate technical information.

            for leading teams in advanced system development and technology maturation. Responsibilities include organizing
            and leading system engineering design teams and working with customers, partners, and internal team members to
            develop and mature novel technology for transition to operational systems. Specifically, these
            responsibilities include participating in strategic planning for current and future development opportunities, organizing and
            leading technical teams performing Science and Technology (S&T) engineering activities addressing modeling
            and simulation, ground test and evaluation, prototype component and system manufacturing, system integration and
            flight test and evaluation of advanced technologies. The Senior Engineer/Subject Matter Expert will develop
            and execute technical programs and provide leadership and mentorship to team members establishing a strong
            foundation for engineering design and career development.
